Assistive
Listening Equipment
Equipment is available for use at the Center to enhance
hearing when a person attends classes or programs at the
Center. Call Dana.
Emergency
Services
The Client Services Coordinator Dana Tassos connects
people with community agencies which provide emergency in-home
care, food, housing, and clothing.
Income
Tax Assistance and Renter's Refund
Volunteers trained by AARP prepare simple Federal and State
tax returns and assist with the Renters Relief Program,
by appointment only during tax season. Call for information and to schedule.
Legal
Assistance
In conjunction with the Clackamas County Senior Law Project,
a volunteer attorney provides confidential half-hour sessions
of legal counsel at no charge. Second Friday of the month,
9:00 a.m. to noon by appointment. Contact Berta Derman at

Lunch
& Shop Program
Now on Monday afternoons, participants may come to the Center
on the morning van, have lunch at the Center, and take the
van to Safeway for one hour of shopping. The van returns
participants to their homes, and the driver can assist with
packages. A lift-equipped minibus is available. Lunch and
shop departs the Center at 1 pm.

LO Meal Network, a local nonprofit organization, serves delicious
hot, nutritious meals every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
For diners age 60 or better, the suggested donation per
meal is $4 for all others $5. The public is welcome. Come
and bring a friend.
Medical
Equipment Loan Program
The Center has a variety of equipment to lend on a short-term
basis, and can link clients to other low-cost programs if
it cannot meet their needs. No fee is required, though a
donation is appreciated. Contact Berta.
Respite
Program
Lake Oswego Place, the Center respite program for adults
with memory loss or confusion due to Alzheimer's Disease,
Parkinson's, stroke, and related disorders, meets every
Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Acorn Room. This
is a four-hour professionally guided recreation and social
program which includes lunch and snacks. Registration is necessary. Cost is $25.00 per afternoon,
but some scholarships are available to Lake Oswego residents.

"Solo"
Group Sunday Dinner
Usually scheduled on the fourth Sunday of every month, this
group is open to all adults 50 or better who do not have
a significant other and would enjoy the company of others
for a casual mid-day dinner. Cost of the meal is on your
own. Call the center at 503-635-3758 to make a reservation.
