Jim Liu
Transportation Specialist |
Doctor
Appointments
Through its volunteer drivers, the Center
arranges rides to doctor and other medical appointments
in the Lake Oswego area. Drivers use their own vehicle.
Contact Berta Derman, Social Services Supervisor, at
503-635-3758 to arrange, and give as many days' notice
as possible; a minimum of three working days advance notice is
required. Donations are appreciated.
Lunch & Shop Program
On Monday afternoons, participants may
come to the Center on the morning van, have lunch at
the Center, and take the van to Safeway for one hour of
shopping. The van returns participants to their homes,
and the driver can assist with packages. A lift-equipped
minibus is available. Lunch and shop departs the Center
at 1 pm.
Minibus,
Wheelchair, and/or Special Transportation Needs
A staff driver provides door-to-door service Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday from clients' homes to the Center
and return. The minibus is equipped with a lift for
those with special needs. Suggested donation of $1.00 each way, but any amount is welcome. Call the Center
to request service.
Short & Sweet
Trip Program
For those who no longer drive and have
special needs, this program features short, relaxed trips
with limited walking. Registration and Center membership
required. Contact Berta Derman for details.
Tri-Met
Lift Program
Designed to provide door-to-door transportation
for medical appointments, shopping, etc., for both ambulatory
and non-ambulatory individuals who no longer drive and
are not able to use regular Tri-Met buses. Call Dana Tassos at the Center.
