ORDINANCE 2808
AN ORDINANCE OF THE LAKE OSWEGO CITY COUNCIL ADDRESSING QUALIFICATIONS FOR
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMISSION MEMBERS
WHEREAS, LOC 12.51.030(2) currently establishes qualifications for Development Review
Commission members, including minimum numbers of members from each of certain
occupations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that, in order to maintain full membership on the Commission, it
is appropriate to have the occupational background of members be considerations for
appointments, but not mandatory qualifications;
The City of Lake Oswego ordains as follows:
Section 1. Subsection (2) of Section 12.51.030 of the Lake Oswego Code is amended by adding
the text shown in bold. double-underlined type and deleting the text shown in strikcthrough
type, as follows:
12.51.030 Development Review Commission.

2. Qualifications. At least four members of the Development Review
Commission shall reside within the City limits. In making appointments to the
Commission. the City Council may take into consideration professional
expertise in related fields such as. but not limited to, Three membors shell b?
from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture, e-r artistic design. Qne
membor shell be from the field of civil engineering. real estate development,
construction. and city planning. One member shall 1►:-. engaged in the business
of financing the puroham end development of real property. No mono then twe
members of the commievon may engage principally in the buying, selling or
developing of real estate for profit as individuals, or bo mombcrs of any
partnership, or officers or employees of any corporation, thct engages
principally in tho bu•,4r g, walling or developing of red eft c for profit. No more
than two members shall be engaged in the same kind of occupation, business,
trade or profession. Nothing in this subsection (2) shall be read to reauire the
Council to appoint any particular person.

day of December, 2018.
