The ACC has applied for National Accreditation!

Various community leaders have agreed to work together with the staff at the ACC in becoming a successful model for senior centers nationwide through obtaining national accreditation.

What does National Accreditation Mean?

National accreditation is the end result of a rigorous process including an agency self-assessment and on-site inspection by a peer reviewer from the National Institute of Senior Centers, a division of the National Council on Aging. The accreditation process is a quality assurance program that examines nine different standards and requires community involvement in the self-assessment process.

What are The Nine Standards?

Standard 1: Purpose and Planning

Standard 2: Community Connections

Standard 3: Governance

Standard 4: Administration and Human Resources

Standard 5: Program Development and Implementation

Standard 6: Evaluation

Standard 7: Fiscal and Asset Responsibility

Standard 8: Records and Reports

Standard 9: Facility and Operations
