October is Meals On Wheels Month

Help support this important program

The City of Lake Oswego has proclaimed October as “Lake Oswego Meals on Wheels Month” and businesses throughout the city are preparing special promotions to help the program reach its goal of $50,000 in donations.

As one of the few cities to offer our own Meals on Wheels program, LOMOW relies on the generosity of residents and local businesses to help us enrich the lives of housebound seniors and disabled Lake Oswego residents. Last year, our volunteers prepared and delivered nearly 18,000 nutritious meals within our city. They also use their visit to check the wellbeing of each resident while providing a warm smile and a friendly conversation.

What can you do?

As an LO business owner, you can contact Committee Chair, Lynn Brokaw (503-481-3453) to discuss the many ways our restaurants and shops can participate. In return, your business name will be publicized in print and social media so that your customers know your business deserves their patronage.

As an LO resident, watch for signage around town and in local publications so that you can be certain to support the participating businesses. As of September 15, the following local business are supporting this important October event:
