Human Services

The Lake Oswego Adult Community Center offers human services to anyone in the community aged 50 or better and/or disabled, usually free of charge. The ACC is here to help when you need it. Confidentiality respected.

Medical Equipment Loan Program
The Center has a variety of equipment to lend on a short-term basis, and can link clients to other low-cost programs if it cannot meet their needs. No fee is required, though a donation is appreciated.

Respite Program
Lake Oswego Place, the Center respite program for adults with memory loss or confusion due to Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's, stroke, and related disorders, meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Acorn Room. This is a four-hour professionally guided recreation and social program which includes lunch and snacks. Registration is necessary. Cost is $30 per afternoon, but some scholarships are available to Lake Oswego residents.

Income Tax Assistance
Volunteers trained by AARP prepare simple Federal and State tax returns, by appointment only during tax season.
