A Supervised Lab is available to students every Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Both PC and MAC volunteers are available in the Center to give instruction, answer questions, or leave you alone, whichever you prefer.
Practice.
Students often come in to practice what they are learning in class or to ask questions about a particular tool or technique.
Troubleshoot.
Volunteers will also try to help out with hardware problems you may be having at home. Make an appointment* with a volunteer techie and bring in the problem hardware. We will take a look at it. Remember, though, that we are volunteers, not experts, and can't guarantee that we will remember our shoes, let alone that we will be able to fix your hardware. We will enjoy trying, though.
*To make an appointment call the Adult Community Center 503-635-3758
Download
You can also come in to download a program you have been needing from the internet*. The Center has a broadband connection so if you have been putting off the download because you have a dial-up connection, bring the web address and name of the download (and a blank CD-R) to us and we will send you home with your download. (If you don't have a cd, we will provide one for one dollar.)
*We will only do legal downloads, of course.
Eligibility
All students and staff as well as members of the Adult Community Center are welcome to attend the Computer Lab.
