Tomorrow, Thursday October 11, a large Douglas fir tree will be removed next to the sidewalk near the US Bank/Round Table Pizza businesses on Boones Ferry Road (just south of Bryant Road).
The tree was slated for removal with the road improvement project, but it is being removed now, as part of a local neighborhood enhancement grant project. It will be repurposed into a piece of artwork to be installed at a newly expanded sidewalk area along the improved Boones Ferry Road, once construction is complete.
Crews will be staging equipment in the Round Table parking lot. Work hours will be 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will be a single-lane closure to accommodate equipment from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Access to businesses will be maintained. Please expect some temporary delays during this work.
