The Project Advisory Committee, or PAC, for the Boones Ferry Project met for the third time with project consultants and staff on June 16th. The PAC selected an eclectic theme for the streetscape that can reflect the varied building styles in Lake Grove. The PAC approved a theme balanced with several important elements: nature, history, art and sustainability. A Project Advisory Committee has been formed to advise the Project Team on decisions about the design and construction of the project. The PAC has held three meetings, including one introductory meeting and two site visits to similar project sites in Tigard, Tualatin and downtown Lake Oswego. The next PAC meeting is scheduled for May 19 at the West End Building (Santiam Room) from 9:00 am -11:00 am. All future meetings will be posted on the City calendar.
The initial survey work for Boones Ferry Road is almost complete. The next phase is geotechnical exploration. This investigative work will inform future design of the roadway improvements. Borings begin in early-May and continue for approximately three weeks. Work will occur in the traffic lanes on Boones Ferry Road between Madrona Street and Lanewood Street; primarily at night between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6:00 am to minimize traffic impacts. Expect short one-lane closures with traffic control and flaggers. Lights will be directed on the work zone to minimize glare. Crews will use noise reducing equipment to lessen impacts to nearby neighborhoods.
For questions about the geotechnical work, please call Terry Song with WHPacific at 503-372-3518 or 971-228-9814.

Two survey crews will typically be working from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, collecting survey information for property corners, fences, walls, landscaping and various street features. Continue reading Survey Work to Begin
In April, the engineering firm of WHPacific was hired to design the improvements for the Boones Ferry Road project. With input from the Project Advisory Committee (comprised of community members), over the next nine months they will be working on the design of the stormwater system, roadway alignment and architectural theme for the roadway.
