Visit East Waluga Park on your lunch break and help celebrate Arbor Week beneath the crown of one of the community's newest Heritage Trees, a 49-inch diameter Oregon white oak. Three new trees will be dedicated as Heritage Trees during a brief ceremony, a representative from Oregon Community Trees will present the award for Tree City USA 2011, and Parks staff will be on hand to help answer questions about the park. Treats will be provided!

Library First Tuesday program
The Lake Oswego Library is pleased to present John Nilsen on grand piano for its First Tuesday Music series on April 3, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Nilsen is an innovative performer who creates an intimate repartee with his audience. "As a performer, I like exploring beyond the boundaries of my recorded songs. It gives me the chance to offer something special, spontaneous and personal to my audience. The entire performance hinges on the connection not only between the players, but with the audience as well." This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and admission is free.
