Event Title: Drug Take Back Event
Where: Adult Community Center

Discard your unwante4d or expired medicines from individual households at this one-day only drug take-back event. Medications cannot be accepted from businesses such as nursing homes, doctor's offices, or any other institution or business. The drugs will be collected by the Lake Oswego Police Department, and taken to the Covanta Waste-to-Energy Facility in Brooks for safe disposal.

Acceptable items are: expired or unwanted prescription medications, over the counter medicines, unknown tables and capsules; and veterinary medications.

Non-acceptable items: no thermometers, sharps, or medical waste or equipment will be collected. (Call Metro Recycling at 503-234-3000, for information on how to safely dispose of these items). Also no ordinary hand lotions, deodorants, and products that can be safely disposed of in your regular garbage.

Please put all pill/tablet medications into a zip-seal bag - we do not want the plastic prescription containers. Empty plastic prescriptions cannot be recycled curbside; but can be recycled at the Lake Oswego Recycling Center, 341 Foothills road. Liquid medications - put the bottle in a sealable plastic bag.
