Masque Alfresco returns for its ninth season for three-week run!.
Social climbing? Living beyond one's means? Credit maxed out? Remodeling costs running amuck? Sound familiar? This could be a scenario from today's headlines, but Goldine wrote La Casa Nova in 1760 highlighting the social foibles of his beloved Venice. The free public performances of THE SUPERIOR CASA NOVA is complete with all of the commedia dell'arte traditions: slapstick beatings, hat juggling, lazzi, overblown characters, colorful pereiod costumes - yet updated with political jokes, social barbs and celebrity slams. Join the family friendly fun on the lawn in front of the Iron Foundry. Be sure to bring lawn chairs, a picnic and your funny bone!
