Foreword
These standards have been compiled to serve
as a guide for producing drawings with a uniform, professional
appearance. They
are intended to be used as a guideline by experienced City of
Lake Oswego personnel and by consulting engineers who design
construction projects for the Public Works Department. These
standards cover the use of computer aided drafting (CAD). The
word 'City' in this booklet shall mean the City of Lake Oswego.
The quality of our work should be reflected
in the drawings. It
is important to retain high standards of accuracy, legibility,
uniformity and neatness. Each
of us should become familiar with these standards as our output
reflects the joint efforts of a number of people.
It should be recognized too, that these
standards will need further development on a continuing basis. As new techniques in CAD are developed, they may be added
to these standards. Comments
and suggestions for additions or improvements are encouraged
and will be reviewed as the standards are updated. Please
especially note on our comment form any
discrepancies, contradictions or errors.
The attention of Consulting Engineers is
also directed to Example Drawing No's. 1, 2, 3 and 4 for wastewater, storm drainage, water and street projects.
