2009 Water Quality Report

As required by the 1996 amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), municipal water providers must collect data and publish the results of analyses on drinking water supplied to customers.  The water quality information contained in the report is based on sampling and analysis conducted over the calendar year 2007. Since 1998, the City of Lake Oswego has prepared its Annual Water Quality Report entitled "Quality on Tap" as a means to communicate the results of federally required testing on the City's drinking water supply and to assure citizens that the quality and safety of their drinking water supply is unsurpassed.  For the last several years, the report has also included useful information about ways citizens can more efficiently use and conserve this precious resource.

The City's source of water is the Clackamas River and this river is under stress to meet the needs of growing communities while continuing to support economic development, recreation and needs for threatened and endangered fish species.  As you read through this report, we encourage you to use the helpful hints for conserving water, indoors, and out, to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of our community today and into the future.
