There are five
major divisions that make up the Lake Oswego Fire Department.
Fire Operations, Fire Prevention, Fire Department Training
Emergency Management and Administrative Services.
Fire
Operations
Fire Operations is responsible for 24-hour fire,
rescue and emergency medical services to the citizens of
Lake Oswego and the citizens of our contracted districts,
Lake Grove Rural Fire District, Alto Park Water District
and Riverdale Dunthorpe Fire District.
Fire
Prevention
Fire Prevention is responsible for fire and life safety
of new construction, maintenance inspections, public education,
fire investigation and juvenile firesetter intervention.

Department Training
The Fire Department training includes Fire Operations,
Emergency Medical Services and Water Dive Rescue Training.

Management
Disaster Preparedness for City Facilities and Citizens.
Information on the CERT (Community Emergency Response Training)
program and Information on Weapons of Mass Destruction.
