Community Development
The Community Development Department consists of Building, Engineering, Planning, and Redevelopment services. The department works to sustain strong and stable neighborhoods and create a quality natural and built environment, by guiding growth and change in a manner, which preserves and enhances the character of the community and the quality of life for its citizens.

There are four neighborhood Fire Stations located strategically throughout the
City of Lake Oswego
Lake Oswego Police Dept
The Lake Oswego Police Department is made up of 43 sworn officers and 28 non-sworn
personnel.
LOCOM (9-1-1)
The Lake Oswego Communications Center (LOCOM) receives and dispatches all calls
for police, fire, and medical assistance in the cities of Lake Oswego, West Linn
and Milwaukie.
Maintenance
The City of Lake Oswego Maintenance Services Department provides many of the
basic urban services to the citizens of Lake Oswego, including Water, Sanitary
Sewer and Storm Drainage Systems, and
their maintenance and repair. The department is also responsible for Street and Parks
Maintenance.
WTP
Our water treatment plant is a direct filtration plant whose current treatment capacity is 16 MGD (million gallons of water per day).
