Child Safety Seat Clinics
The Lake Oswego Fire and Police Departments jointly conduct quarterly child safety seat clinics at the Main Fire Station, 300 B Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This is a great opportunity to have your child’s safety seat inspected for safety, recalls and proper installation instruction.  The safety seat clinic is free and is offered on a first come, first serve basis.  Expect a short wait as it takes approximately 15-30 minutes per child safety seat.  Local and national statistics show that over 80% of all child safety seats are installed incorrectly.  Please take this opportunity to make your child’s ride a safe one.

Statistics from the last safety seat clinic held on May 15 are showed that out of 57 car seats inspected, 36 were incorrectly installed for a misuse rate of 86%.
