Art Sorenson

Special Presentation

Thursday, August 31, 7-8 pm

Enjoy hearing the story of a member of the Greatest Generation, Lake Oswego resident Art Sorenson, as he shares his adventures from growing up in Central Washington, serving in the Army in World War II as a Timberwolf in the 104th Infantry Division, going to college and having a long and satisfying career in pharmaceuticals with Parke-Davis where he earned the highest honor given in the industry.

In 2015 Art participated in a panel discussion at the Library for the Lake Oswego Reads All the Light We Cannot See 70th Anniversary World War II program which filled the entire Library.  A highlight of his life was to go to the 60th Anniversary of the End of World War II Ceremony.

Art will share the stories he summarized in his book An Interesting Life.  After hearing his stories and reading this book you’ll agree that an interesting life is exactly what he has had!

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lake Oswego Public Library and admission is free. The Library is located at 706 Fourth Street, Lake Oswego.  For more information, contact Cyndie Glazer at
