Lake Oswego Reads!
The whole town is buzzing about Lake Oswego Reads! Pictured above are several enthusiastic participants who were the first four in line to receive tickets to hear Ivan Doig speak. They are holding their free copies of The Whistling Season courtesy of the Friends of the Library. February was crammed with so many exciting events to choose from. Here are some of them: |

Lake Oswego Writes
Local authors (John Morrison, Elissa Rust, Will Fendon and Hunt Holman) coached aspiring writers on creative ways to write in the first all-city writing workshop that met at Chuck’s Place. Every day in February participants were given a prompt to write about. They are listed at www.lakeoswegoreads.org and click on “Lake Oswego Writes.” |

One Room Schoolhouse Panel Discussion
An afternoon of true stories about the one-room schoolhouse experience from local residents: Steve Eklund, Clemie Moody, Doris Robertson, Mary Neely and Donna Reiff. |

Book Discussion Groups

Our First Tuesday concert featured Amour Acoustic, which includes Carol Ann Wheeler playing fiddle, Jeff Heberle on guitar, and Jim Toussaint on harmony fiddle. |

Spelltainment Spelling Bee
Exciting competition refereed by KPTV “Good Day Oregon” anchor and Lakeridge High School alum Chad Carter. The individual category was won by attorney Brett Bender. The team category was won by mother and son, Nora and Justin Semonsen. |

Art Show Exhibition
Art inspired by the book created by 18 Splash! Artists and high school students at Graham’s and Chrisman Picture Frame & Gallery. |
Cover to Cover Book Club Quilters Tea
A tea party and a talk by nine quilters. Their amazing creations were on display at the Library. |
