Performing Arts Program
Joe and Paula McHugh treated us to an afternoon of music and story at our March performing arts event. Engaging storytelling combined with lively fiddle and banjo duets and original artwork made for an inspiring time. For information on upcoming programs go to http://www.ci.oswego.or.us/library/AdultCalendar.htm. |
Art Exhibit
Lake Area Artists are displaying their works on our main floor through March.

Food for Fines Month
Throughout February, Library users were able to get their overdue fines forgiven and help those less fortunate at the same time. The Library waived $.50 in overdue fines for every non-perishable food item brought in. The food was donated to the Clackamas Service Center, which distributes the food to local residents who are in need. This year, YOU donated 3,005 pounds of food, which is enough to feed 60 four-member families for four days. This is even more than we collected last year. Many thanks! |
Memorial Table Reception
Funds were donated so the Library could purchase a children’s reading table in memory of Lake Grove Elementary teacher and local tutor Belinda Lopez. We held a reception to thank the 36 friends, family members, appreciative parents, and organizations that donated in her memory. Local artist Julie Brown created the table’s mosaic inset—which is a perfect tie-in to her nearby window well display, “Whimsical Flower Garden.”
