“Summertime, and the Library’s Busy….”

Temperatures outside may heat up, but your Library remains cool and comforting!  Chock full of stimulating books, movies, music and more, we are your one stop “shopping” destination for entertainment and enrichment.  On top of that, we offer exciting events for all ages. 

Our Teens are Award Winners!

Each year, our Teen Advisory Board creates a public service announcement (PSA), videotaped by TCVTV, to promote our teen summer reading club.  Our 2009 PSA was submitted to the government television’s equivalent of the Emmy Awards.  To our delight, our piece was judged to be one of the top three in the nation.  In October, we’ll find out if we are the first place winner!  Pictured at right is television staff videotaping this year’s PSA.  To view it go to http://www.ci.oswego.or.us/library/ and click on “watch the movie.”

Teens

When our teen Library users are not busy reading books by the cartload for our Read, Raffle, & Win summer reading club, they’re at our video gaming tournaments cheering each other on.  July’s event is Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

July Concert

Our First Tuesday concert featured Dawnya Clarine who sang a mix of pop, blues, reggae and jazz in smooth, sultry style.
