Free Tax Assistance at the Library

The Lake Oswego Public Library is offering free tax assistance by appointment on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays beginning February 6th and continuing through April 11th. The Library is one of the regional sites for this AARP sponsored tax-aide program which is specifically designed to assist taxpayers with “special needs – including people with disabilities, those with a low to fixed income and the elderly.” This program is a non-profit, confidential service staffed by trained volunteers; while they may not be able to help with very complicated returns, they are prepared to handle most situations for retired and low-income individuals. Volunteers will prepare and file taxes electronically.

Appointments may be made by calling the Library Reference Department at 503-675-2540 Lake Oswego Public Library, 706 4th Street, Lake Oswego, OR.
