Food for Fines in August

Food-for-Fines is happening again…in August? That’s right. Our annual Food-for-Fines program has been so popular, we’re having it again in August this year. The Lake Oswego Public Library partners with the Tualatin Schoolhouse Pantry to provide food and hygiene items for local families. We’re offering to waive $1.00 in overdue fines for each non-perishable food or hygiene item brought to the library.*

The pantry is in particular need of:

  • Hearty meals such as chili, canned pasta, etc.
  • Canned fruit
  • Hygiene items such as bar soap, toothpaste, powdered laundry detergent, etc.

*Applicable to overdue fines only, not lost or damaged fees. Expired food will not be accepted.
