The Lake Oswego Public Library provides laptop connections for members of the public. The conditions for use are as follows:

1. Patrons must set up their laptops to access Library's network.

2. Library staff is not allowed to configure patrons' laptops, nor can they provide assistance getting connected to the network.

3. Patrons will provide any cables they need to connect to a 10-BaseT network. 

4. The Library does not monitor or filter any traffic. 

5. Virus protection and security is the responsibility of the patron.

6. The Library cannot guarantee that the service will be available at any specific time, nor does the Library accept reservations.

7. Use of the connection is limited to 30 minutes while others are waiting.

8. The connection shall not be used for illegal or commercial purposes.

9. Patrons shall be responsible for any and all damage resulting from improper or negligent usage of Library laptop connections.

10. Patrons shall defend, indemnify and hold City of Lake Oswego, its officers, employees and agents, harmless against all liability, or loss or expense, including attorney fees, and against all claims, actions and judgments based upon or arising out of the patron's use of Library laptop connections.
