Water & Sewer

The City of Lake Oswego operates and maintains a Water Treatment Plant in West Linn, as well as a distribution system, a water conservation program, and a cross connection control program.

Water
Water plays a vital role in everyone’s life. The Water Department’s mission is to bring healthy drinking water of the highest quality to Lake Oswego’s residential and wholesale customers from our intake facility on the Clackamas River in Gladstone.

Sanitary Sewer
The Sanitary Sewer Department operates and maintains 200 miles of collection system and ten pump stations (all of which eventually empty into the Tryon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant operated by the City of Portland on Foothills Road). It also provides information about rat control, sewer odor complaints, service verification, response to sewer back-ups and overflows, and missing manhole covers.
