Free the Trees in Freepons Park
Apr. 2, SU 2017 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
(Freepons Park: 5.9 acres of natural areas and a stream)
Free the Trees! Bring the family and explore the lush woods of Freepons Park. Gaze up at the towering firs and listen to the birds sing. Then, roll up your sleeves and give back to the forest. Join Friends of Hallinan Heights Woods as they remove ivy from majestic trees in this natural area frequented by deer and other wildlife. Look around and notice how many trees have already been freed of ivy in previous Stewardship work parties. The end is in sight for freeing all the trees of ivy in the forest thanks to volunteers that have gone before you! Please wear sturdy shoes, bring gloves and water.
