Youth Action Council (YAC)

What is YAC?
The Youth Action Council is a board that works directly with Parks & Recreation to plan, promote and implement community activities. It is an opportunity for students to define immediate and long-term needs in the community and attempt to meet those needs throughout the school year. YAC has successfully planned sports leagues, volunteer opportunities, planning sessions for City Council and recreational events/activities within Lake Oswego.

Applications for 2018-19 are now CLOSED

City of Lake Oswego residents in grades 9-12; or attend Lakeridge High School or Lake Oswego High School. 

Youth Action Council members must meet the following requirements:
-Attend 9 monthly meetings (schedule attached) from September-June
-Provide 35 hours of volunteer service with YAC during the school year
-Work on designated YAC sub-committees to plan, promote and implement community activities within Lake Oswego
