Jefferson Parkway: October Work Zones Near Spinosa and Kingsgate

Beginning the week of Oct. 1, crews will reconstruct two challenging points on westbound Jefferson Parkway near Spinosa and near Kingsgate.

The work will smooth the pavement profile for improved road safety at two points where a gentle slope is required for new ADA-compliant curb ramps and landings — even though the road as a whole slopes steeply. It will take a few weeks to complete.

A single-lane closure with flaggers will be in place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays for several weeks. Your patience will be much appreciated.

Noise: You may hear sounds from trucks and equipment, including the beeping of backup alarms. (Federal regulations require trucks and equipment to sound an alarm when traveling in reverse.)

Contact information: If you have questions, leave a message at (503) 635-0261 and we will return your call — or email Please include your street address.
