Davidson House, Circa 1928

Location: 257 Iron Mtn. Blvd.

Davidson House

This house is significant as a fine example of the Colonial Revival style, popular in residential building during the 1930s. This style gained popularity following World War I when the country was revitalized with a strong sense of patriotic fervor. Based on Classical Greek and Roman architecture, emphasis in the Colonial Revival style is on the formal arrangement of line, space and volume.
