The Larson House is significant as the best example of the Bungalow style in the South Town neighborhood.  This one-and-one-half story dwelling has many of the architectural details associated with the style, including the typical form and massing.  The low pitched gable roof with its deep eaves, purlins and braces, extends over the full-width front porch, which is supported by stout posts and an enclosed balustrade.  This type of Bungalow, sometimes referred to as a “Builder Bungalow”, is one of the most common 20th  century house types in Western Oregon.
