Lueg House, Circa 1870

Location: 1228 Oak Street

This house retains not only the characteristic form and massing of the type – a two-story volume joined to a one- story volume in and “L”-plan—it also has the typical siding, finish materials and fenestration.  Although the house has received some alterations in the past, it is significant as one of the oldest houses in the South Town area.  It is also important as a contributing element of the historic South Town  neighborhood.
