The City Manager [or his or her delegate] has the initial responsibility for administering and interpreting the provisions of the Community Development Code [CDC], and the CDC provides rules for issuing Formal and Informal Code Interpretations [LOC 50.04.010]. A request for an Informal Code Interpretation can be made to Planning staff or the City Attorney orally or in writing. Planning staff makes decisions and code interpretations while administering the CDC on a daily basis.
