Tree Code Chapter 55

About the Tree Code Task Force

The Tree Code Task Force is composed of representatives from the following segments of the community:

  • Arborist Representative from the Community Forestry Commission

  • Arborist-at-large
1
  • NRAB Representative
1
  • Citizens at large

The Ad Hoc Tree Code Review Task Force is charged with evaluating the Lake Oswego Tree Code (LOC Chapter 55) and providing recommendations for potential amendments. It is the intent of this effort to assess how the current Code is being interpreted, how the public perceives the Code, and what measures can be taken to improve the Code. The Task Force shall reach a general consensus on findings and recommendations.

Findings and recommendations will be presented to the Natural Resource Advisory Board (NRAB) for comments. All comments will be presented to Council for consideration and direction. Any Code amendments proposed as a result of these findings and recommendations will follow normal public process.

Meetings

Meetings are held as needed, generally at City Hall, 380 A Avenue, in the Human Resources Conference Room (first floor, south side of the building).

Meetings are usually scheduled between 7:00 p.m and 8:30 p.m. Meeting time, date, and location are subject to change. Please contact staff at 503-699-7473 to confirm the details.

Notices of meetings are posted on the bulletin board on the first floor of City Hall.
