This application was originally scheduled for a public hearing before the Planning Commission on February 23, 2009. Staff had recommended denial of the request because the proposed amendments did not comply with identified key Lake Grove Neighborhood Plan policies regarding the West Lake Grove Design District. The Planning Commission granted several continuances over the following 15 months, at the request of the applicant, to allow the applicant more time to address issues raised in the staff report. On May 14, 2012, the owner of Tax Lot 4300, Randy Reeve, submitted a revised project that eliminates the conceptual site plan for the future buildings and includes tax lots 4400 and 4500.
The original land use application was LU 08-0059.
The applicants wish to expand the West Lake Grove Design District with additional WLG Office Commercial/Neighborhood Commercial (OC/NC) zoned property in order to develop this area with the amount of commercial and residential development that was originally intended for the West Lake Grove Design District.
