The City of Lake Oswego has a council-manager form of government. The mayor and six councilors are elected at-large and serve four-year terms. The current City Council will serve from January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016.
Candidates for the position of Mayor and three City Councilor positions will appear on the ballot for the November 8, 2016 General Election. The filing period for interested candidates begins on June 1, 2016, and concludes at 5 p.m. on August 30, 2016.
