Lake Oswego Skate Park Is Ending It's Run At The Willow And Pilkington Site
After 15 years at 5520 Willow Lane, the LO Skate Park closes down to make room for the needed expansion and renovation of the City's Public Works Department facilities. It has been a great place to introduce new skaters to the world of skateboarding and in-line skating in a unique, supervised setting. The Skate Park has also given experienced skateboarders and in-line skaters of all ages a local place to call their home park. Each season from 2000-2015 the park has served hundreds of LO area youth.
After various temporary sites throughout the community, the LO Skate Park grand opening was July 14, 2000. The final day before closing for good at this location is October 11, 2015. Thank you to the Public Works Department for sharing their space and to the support of the neighbors and businesses near the corner of Willow and Pilkington. The Parks & Recreation Department is committed to exploring permanent skate park options for the future to ensure an endless skate park for local skaters!
