The Common Application:
How to Maximize Your Impact
Wednesday, May 18, 4-5 p.m. (lower level)
At selective colleges, admissions readers receive applications from a surplus of highly qualified candidates. An admissions decision might be influenced by the subtle ways information is presented on the application. This workshop examines the Common Application page by page, showing students how to control the application’s “subtext” to ensure the most favorable read possible. Presenter Tim Cantrick is an independent college counselor serving students in Lake Oswego and the Portland area. He’s been counseling students on the college track for 30 years.
