Teen Writers Group

For teens ages 13-18
Love to write? Come prepared to write, share, and learn in the Library's Teen Writers Group! The group is facilitated by Dave Jarecki, a professional writer who runs youth and adult writing workshops throughout the Portland area, and is an adjunct fellow at Portland's Attic Institute. Spanish Language Conversation Group
Thursday, May 23, from 6:00-7:00 p.m., lower level
High school students in second-year Spanish and above are invited to practice their Spanish language skills in a new interactive group at the Library featuring conversation, games and other speaking activities. The program will be facilitated by Juan Maria Iglesias, an adjunct Spanish language instructor at Portland State University. Mr. Iglesias, who received his MA in Spanish language and literature from PSU, was born in San Sebastian, Spain, and speaks German as well as Spanish and English. Be Heard!
Teens in grades 7-12 can submit reviews of books, audiobooks, music, and movies to the library teen web page using a new online form. The reviews feature a star rating, a place for other people's comments about the title, and a link to the library catalog for those wishing to place a hold on the reviewed item. Students may submit as many reviews as they like. Reviews are posted in title order. Click here! Submit Reviews Read Reviews
