Since 1988, the Lake Oswego Public Library has enjoyed a strong tradition of community volunteer support. Over 500 volunteers take part in making the library a thriving community center—contributing 13,909 hours just last year—and we’re always looking for more help! Volunteers range in age from twelve to retired. Even whole families and civic groups volunteer their time to work together on projects.
Just about every sort of opportunity is available to our volunteers, from clerical work and data entry to fund-raising or hosting open mike nights and video game tournaments. Here are just a few of the possible ways you can help out:
- Book Drop Pickup
- Booktique Delivery
- Cart Revising
- Genealogical Services
- Shelf Reading
- Cleaning DVDs
