Lake Oswego Police Department
August 15, 2012
On April 6, 2012, a home invasion robbery occurred on Indian Creek Way in Lake Oswego where two males dressed in black went to a home and displayed what looked like a badge and demanded entrance.
Once inside the home, the suspects bound three people and demanded items from the homeowner. One of the suspects fired a shot into a wall with a handgun. No one was injured from the gunshot, but one of the victims was struck in the face with the butt of the gun and was later transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The two suspects filled some sacks with items collected from the house and then fled.
Soon after the robbery, detectives from the Lake Oswego Police Department developed a person of interest which has now led to two arrests, with other arrests possible. David Ray Taylor, DOB 12-13-55, was taken into custody in Eugene on August 8, 2012, and was lodged in the Lane County Jail for Robbery I, Robbery II, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Spensir Lee Mourey, DOB 07-28-87, was taken into custody the same day in Portland and was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail for Robbery I, Robbery II and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
We wish to thank the help of the Portland Police Bureau, Eugene Police Department, Lane County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshal Service, Clackamas County District Attorney's Office and the FBI.
