APPLICANT'S REQUEST

The Applicant is requesting the following:

Approval of a Class 1 variance to increase the height of a retaining wall within the rear yard setback from four feet to up to 10 feet in order  to construct a raised terrace.  The retaining wall is proposed in conjuction with a remodel of the dwelling that is also subject to a Residential Infill Design (RID) Review request.  The RID Review entails several exceptions to the underlying R-7.5 zone standards in order to remodel the dwelling. 

This notice is provided for the Class 1 variance portion of the request to indicate the begininning of a 14-day comment period (see, below).  A separate notice for the RID Review portion of the request will be mailed only to those property owners required to be notified within a 300-foot radius of the site when a tentative decision is made.  Therefore, not all recipients of this mailing will receive the RID Review notice.
