Freakonomics by Steven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner is a book that relates economics into real situations, however controversial, such as: how the legalization of abortion affects the rate of violent crime, why gang members still live with their mothers and more. The book does not require any economic knowledge and is an enjoyable read on an airplane when there are no good movies on. Need to expand your summer reading list? Add Freakonomics and it will provide valuable insights.
