Eragon, the first book in the Inheritance Trilogy, is the story of a boy who finds a mysterious stone while hunting in the forest. Some time later, a baby dragon hatches from the stone! The boy, Eragon, goes to a storyteller's house to find out more. Soon, he finds a way to communicate with the dragon and raises it in secrecy. The evil king Galbatorix sends the cruel Ra'zac to try to kill Eragon and the dragon, but they escape and, in the end, fight part of the king's army. It is the kind of book that is very hard to put down.
