PARKS, RECREATION & NATURAL RESOURCES ADVISORY BOARD <br />MINUTES <br />July 19, 2017 <br />Co -Chair Bill Gordon called the meeting to order at 5:00p.m. at Luscher Farm. <br />Present: Co -Chair Bill Gordon, Co -Chair Scott Bullard, James Stupfel, Charles Aubin, Kimberlie <br />Peeler, Heidi Schrimsher, Tom Widden, Mark Hoyt (5:15), Skip O'Neill, Council <br />Liaison, Brian Gullen, Alternate <br />Absent: Brittany Weiler, Rhys Richmond, Youth Member, <br />Staff: Ivan Anderholm, Director of Parks & Recreation, Jan Wirtz, Superintendent of Parks <br />& Recreation, Bruce Powers, Parks Analyst/Project Manager and Dina Balogh, Parks <br />& Recreation Administrative Assistant <br />Guests: Sabrina Safari, Youth Member applicant <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Advisory Board (PARKS Board) reviewed and unanimously <br />approved the minutes from May 16 and June 21, 2017. <br />Citizen Comment: <br />None <br />Board Chair Election: The Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Advisory Board (PARKS Board) <br />unanimously voted and reappointed Bill Gordon and Scott Bullard as Co -Chairs to the board. <br />CITY COUNCIL UPDATE: <br />• LORA Meeting: Starting City Hall design process. Fall 2018 the construction of the Police station <br />will start while City Hall is operational. Once construction is complete the Police department will <br />move into their new facility. The construction of the New City Hall will start after the Police <br />station is finished. <br />• System development fees will slowly move up. Ease into increase. 35k to 50k. <br />• Negotiating fire contracts. <br />• Iron Mt masterplan was on consent agenda. Approved — move forward with planning. <br />• Lake Oswego sponsored Fireworks was not on the Council agenda. Having a July 4fireworks <br />show has not been approved. The 4t" is on a Wednesday in 2018. July 4, 2018 is also the first <br />schedule concert at FHP. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />Lake Oswego Golf Course Concepts Update: <br />Ivan presented the Golf Course Concept to the Board. The Golf Course Concept was presented to the <br />City Council to provide a recommendation and direction LOPR staff. <br />1. Golf function, <br />2. Other service/functions at the course, <br />3. Capitalizing property, and to further explore future uses of the Lake Oswego Municipal Golf <br />
