Welcome to Live & Local, a new pilot program hosted by the City of Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department at the new Lake Oswego Recreation & Aquatic Center (LORAC). This summer series brings together live music and local food in a relaxed, community-focused setting. Held on the last Thursday of each month from May through September, each event features a rotating food truck and live local musician, creating a fresh experience each time. Beer and wine will be available for purchase on site. Please note that outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

Here's the lineup!

July 30 - 4 to 8 p.m., Music from 5 to 7 p.m.

Fryed is a family-owned food truck and catering business serving the Portland area with delicious Southern-inspired comfort food. Their menu features crowd favorites like crispy fried chicken, flavorful fish, fresh salads, and more. Be sure to save room for their waffle fries—they're a local favorite and absolutely worth the hype.

 

Robert Henry from Robert Henry & The Repeaters will bring his solo act that is an authentic blend of traditional and outlaw country music to the stage, drawing inspiration from legends like Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and George Jones. Based in Portland, he has built a loyal following throughout the Pacific Northwest with their heartfelt storytelling, rich musicianship, and energetic live performances that celebrate the timeless spirit of country music.

August 27 - 4 to 8 p.m., Music from 5 to 7 p.m.

Kristy’s Down Home Cookin’ is a family-owned Oregon food truck serving up fresh, made-to-order smash burgers, hand-battered fried pickles, cheese curds, and other comfort food favorites. Founded by Kristina and Vince Adams, the business has built a loyal following with its commitment to quality ingredients, local partnerships, and down-home hospitality that keeps customers coming back for more.

 

Andrea Algieri from Mbrascatu will bring his solo to Live & Local at the LORAC! Andrea is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who founded the act, Mbrascatu. Drawing inspiration from Southern Italian roots and a wide range of musical influences, the band blends indie rock, European folk, world music, psychedelic rock, and Americana into a sound that is both distinctive and captivating. With four albums to their name and a reputation for energetic live performances, Mbrascatu creates music that connects people across cultures through heartfelt lyrics, infectious rhythms, and memorable storytelling. Led by Algieri’s warm vocals and dynamic musicianship, the band delivers a rich musical experience that is both globally inspired and uniquely their own.

 

Save room for a sweet treat from Twisted! Their New Zealand-style ice cream is blended to order with fresh Oregon berries, creating a creamy, flavorful dessert that's the perfect way to top off your visit. Fresh, local, and delicious! 

September 24 - 4 to 8 p.m., Music from 5 to 7 p.m.

Getta Gyro has been serving authentic Greek-inspired cuisine in the Portland and Vancouver area for more than a decade. Known for its flavorful gyros, fresh ingredients, and family-run hospitality, this local favorite offers classic Mediterranean dishes, including traditional gyros, Greek salads, and loaded gyro fries that keep customers coming back for more.

 

The Lakeridge High School Jazz Band showcases the talent, dedication, and creativity of student musicians from across the school community. Performing a mix of jazz standards, contemporary favorites, and energetic big band selections, the ensemble brings a high level of musicianship and enthusiasm to every performance. Their dynamic sound and passion for music make them a favorite at community events and school performances throughout the year.

The Lake Oswego Recreation & Aquatics Center (LORAC) features two pools, an executive 9-hole golf course, a driving range, gymnasium, weight and cardio areas, and a variety of group fitness classes.
