The conference brings together local artists, scholars, musicians, storytellers, and writers to explore this magical connection . Meals-on-Wheels Fundraiser Save the Date – June 1 Third Annual Spring Fundraiser with the Lake Oswego Academy of Dance to benefit Meals-on-Wheels! The Lake Oswego Academy of Dance will host its recital at the ACC on Sunday, June 1 . Suggested donation is $4 per person at the door - all donations go to Lake Oswego Meals-on-Wheels . Tickets for gift baskets will also be available . A Word About Funding The Lake Oswego Adult Community Center is supported by federal and local grants, fundraising proceeds, donations, and the City’s General Fund . Children of Aging Parents: Building Positive Relationships As parents age, they and their adult children or other family members often face difficult challenges. This two-part program offers a window into the world of aging, dementia and communication and provides insight into one of life’s toughest adjustments . May 27: Senior Summit OHSU Neurology Department partners with Lake Oswego Police and Fire Departments to present the evidence-based “Matter of Balance” training on Tuesday, May 27, from 9 to 11 a .m ., at Lake Oswego City Hall Council Chambers, 380 A Avenue . “Matter of Balance” looks at multiple areas to assist people in developing a fall prevention plan . There will be tips from our Police and Fire Departments on senior safety, too . Snacks and exercise handout provided .
