How to Keep the Golden
Years Golden
We can all agree that growing old is not for sissies and that aging can, at
times, be challenging. However, instead of focusing on that negative issue
let's focus instead on several great qualities such as our excellent work
ethic, our loyalty and service to country and our overwhelming wisdom
and knowledge. The presentation, “How To Keep The Golden Years Golden
Even Though My Hair Has Turned To Silver,“ will remind us of a great and
glorious past and give us the opportunity to look forward to a golden future
with enthusiasm.

Sentenced for a Season,
Punished for Life
Many of us have grown up being told and believing that after a person
serves their sentence for a crime, their slate is wiped clean. But the truth
does not often bear out this scenario. A felony conviction can restrict travel
options, licensing options for employment, housing, and financial aid, just
to name a few. What does it mean to our society that 8 percent of our
overall US population and 33 percent of African American men who have
felony convictions run into these barriers after they serve time in prison?
This is the focus of "Sentenced for a Season, Punished for Life," a free
conversation with Pamela Slaughteron the program is hosted by the ACC
and sponsored by Oregon Humanities.

Vertigo
Did you know “dizziness” is the third most common reason a person goes to
the doctor? Furthermore, it is the most common reason a person 75 years
or older goes to the doctor. Unfortunately, dizziness
oftentimes goes undiagnosed and unresolved even
after several visits to one’s health care provider.
Dr. Jason Vaughn, PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist
at Therapeutic Associates – Lake Oswego who
specializes in diagnosis and treatment of dizziness
and will attempt to help de-mystify this oftentimes
confusing topic.
