Subject:[EXTERNAL] Testimony Regarding Lake Oswego Aquatic & Recreational Center

To Members of Lake Oswego Development Review Commission:
Our neighborhood, area Banyan/Cloverleaf, butts up to the golf course and if approved the
aquatic/recreation center, could negatively change the character of our neighborhood. From the
traffic study, no one can accurately predict what that would look like. Therefore, we are requesting
that with approval of the center a condition be added. Lakeridge High School had one for their
athletic fields. When home football games were allowed neighborhood meetings were required.
Requiring that twice a year, during construction and once building is complete, a public meeting be
held to address and mitigate the concerns of the neighbors as it relates to the center. This condition
would be in place a minimum of five years from building completion.
I still oppose building a formal path from the center to corner of Cloverleaf/Banyan for the issue of
traffic and parking, a condition of approval could help.
