fall, Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation offers a wide
range of recreational opportunities that embrace the
natural beauty and vibrant spirit of the region for all
ages and abilities. Whether you’re a resident or a
visitor, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during

Needs Your Helping Hands!
Woodmont Park October 1 – 1 to 3 p.m.
Springbrook Park October 14 – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Southwood Park October 28 – 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“Treelax!” Did you know just 5 minutes of viewing trees can
help you relax? Join a friendly Friends of the Parks work party in
a park natural area and relax out in the trees! Our work par ties
may include planting native species, removing invasive species,
or spreading mulch to aid water retention in young plants.
Volunteer for a couple of hours, make a lasting impact on the
environment, and help Mother Nature breathe a bit easier! No
experience is needed. Families welcome!

Will You Be the Winner of the 2023 Gnome Hunt?
The Gnome Hunt ends Oct. 31, so get out and search for
Blossom, Greenie, and Oak in the 3 park natural areas! The
3 gnomes head South for the Winter on Nov. 1, and we don’t
blame them! The wiley gnomes await you to find them at Bryant
Wood Nature Park, George Rogers Park (the lower area across
the footbridge), and West Waluga Park. Find descriptive clues
and a map for each park, along with the gnome contest info, at

Monster Mash Spooktacular
Christ Church Parish
October 31
3 to 6 p.m.
Join the City of Lake Oswego for an afternoon of frightful fun.
Dress up in your favorite Spooktacular Halloween costume and
enjoy this family-friendly event. Walk through the trick-or-treat
streets to collect sweets, toys and trinkets at every station.
This cobweb filled celebration includes spooky tunes and some
ghostly crafts too! Free event, ages 0-12 welcome.
Living Well Dance
Christ Church Parish
October 13 & November 17
7 to 9 p.m.
Dance the night away with the incomparable Millennium Dance
Band. This vibrant and inclusive community event celebrates
the joy of movement and the importance of maintaining an
active and healthy lifestyle. Music highlights dance music
from the “Big Bands” of the 1930s, 40s and 50s. All ages
are invited to enjoy this great music and fun time. Age 14 and
under must be accompanied by an adult Cost is $7 at the door.
Indoor Playground
Christ Church Parish
Tuesdays and Thursdays
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Parents, caregivers, and kiddos are now welcome back to
Indoor Playground through Dec. 14. Rain or shine, kids will
enjoy climbing, doing active play, using sensory toys, and
more. Supervision of children is a must at all times. Please
do not bring snacks containing nut products. This is a drop-in

First Sunday Markets in Lake Grove

Based on community feedback, the First Sunday Market in
Lake Grove expanded this fall to include theme-based events.
Your favorite farmers and foodies return to share the bounty of
the Pacific Northwest. Plus, the addition of artisans, activities,
live entertainment, and more!

wanting to play basketball with their friends? Here’s an
opportunity for them to put a team together and play some
hoops from December through Februar y. Teams must be
created by a student manager/player with players joining under
that team when registering.

Coming into its 17th year, the Teen Lounge offers a wide range
of activities for all teens, including classes, clubs, volunteer
opportunities, field trips, and more! Do you have a teen that
would be interested? You can find out all the membership
information, drop in, excluded dates, and the availability to rent

LO Junior High: School bus route #31 after school.
Lakeridge Middle School: Ride the Lounge Shuttle parked in
the bus lane after school.

The Lake Oswego Reunion Farmers’ Market

Fresh from local farms to your Thanksgiving table! Join us as
many of your favorite Farmers’ Market vendors return to share
the bounty of their fall harvest. Enjoy shopping on a crisp fall
afternoon amid the scent of pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and
mushrooms, and pick up a few new recipes to boot. The entire

59th Annual Tree Lighting Festival
Millennium Plaza Park
November 24
3 to 7 p.m.
The City of Lake Oswego and the Lake Oswego Chamber of
Commerce invite you to ring in the holiday season with the
annual Tree Lighting Festival! 2023 marks the 59th anniversary
of this time-honored tradition. Festivities only take place at
Millennium Plaza Park this year, with extended hours of holiday
music, festive vendors, letters to Santa, sweet treats, and
more! The celebratory lighting of the Millennium tree takes
place at 6 p.m.
October 1: Barks & Brews
Join us for a paw-some Barks & Brews festival, where furry
friends and their owners unite for a day of tail wagging fun.
Watch adorable pets strut their stuff in a lively pet parade and
costume contest at 1 p.m. and then indulge in pet-friendly
shopping, dining and our inviting beer garden hosted by local
craft brewery LIFT Brewing Co. First come, first serve onsite
registration for the dog costume contest is located at the
Market Information booth.
November 5: Bottles & Bites
Embrace an afternoon of delightful indulgence at our Bottles &
Bites event, where you can explore, savor, shop, and sip to your
heart’s content. Enjoy delicious wines from local wineries and
treat yourself to various delectable bites.
