Doug Corder called the meeting to order at 10:04am

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
December 15, 2023
Ann Savage made a motion to approve the December meeting minutes. Susan Speer seconded
the motion. The motion passed unanimously and the December minutes were approved.

5. PUBLIC COMMENT

Hi Pam,
Below is an ACC update for the meeting:
ACC survived the storm and staff was able to work from home to communicate closures and cancelations to our
participants.
Numerous tress down in our parks, a play structure was damaged, power outage took our parks restroom heat which
led to frozen pipes that burst.
LORAC
Furniture is being selected.
Building is really taking shape.
Rec pool is getting the first layer of materials.
The ACC is looking into install security cameras on the exterior of the building, no crimes or mischief sparked the
interest. To be able to view the hazardous conditions in inclement weather is the motivation. We use the same
cameras at many of our parks.
We are scheduling our summer programs right now.

Role of the Board
• Advise the City Council as to the needs and interests of City residents who are 50 years of age and
over.
• Monitor trends in aging, research new programs and services for people 50 years of age and over
and provide the resulting information to the City Council.
• Make recommendations to the City Council relating to current and potential services, programs and
facilities intended to enhance the quality of life for City residents who are 50 years of age and over.
• Advise and make recommendations relating to actions of the City Council that may affect residents
who are 50 years of age and over.
• Advise the Adult Community Center Manager on policies and programs of the Adult Community
Center when requested by the Manager.
