Mayor Joe Buck has officially proclaimed this month as a time to recognize how these spaces YOU�A BELON bring people together, offer essential services, and support the growth and well-being of our community. NRPA'S PARK AND RECREATION MONTH This years theme is Where You Belong, highlighting the many ways park and recreation professionals across the country create welcoming and inclusive environments. We invite everyone to explore our extensive parks and natural areas. With over 640 acres of parks and natural areas and 30 acres of recreation facilities (with more on the way), there is something for everyone, regardless of age or ability. (;‘,A----- F The Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation Department recently achieved �S`ONFORACCgpp,,..,Oil `4_ accreditation through CAPRA, placing us among the nation's top `o� tis n agencies. What does this mean for you? It means your local Parks CAPRA V & Recreation department meets high standards in managing lands, ACCREDITED �� facilities, programs, safety, and services! The swim park is open from July through August, providing a perfect summer lei' a� retreat. Join our cornhole, soccer, and lacrosse leagues for some friendly competition. We also ' ` offer a variety of educational programs for adults and children, including cooking classes, music + lessons, watercolor and drawing workshops, and language courses. For water enthusiasts, we provide kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing lessons. Teens can ,�: ' ' _ ! enjoy exciting rafting trips and camps tailored just for them. And, don't miss our popular Fitness in the Park series, where you can take your workouts outdoors or find classes that fit your schedule and wellness goals.
